FREE EVENT: Conservation Begins at Home

Sunday, March 18

In our increasingly crowded and busy world, many of the wondrous living treasures that grace our Earth—from rhinos and polar bears to tropical orchids—are at risk of disappearing. Equally threatened are many of the beautiful and little known animals and plants that live in your state, your town, or perhaps your own backyard. Bryan Windmiller, Zoo New England's Director of Conservation, will discuss the Zoo's programs to help preserve some of the rare and declining species that live in Chelmsford and surrounding communities. Bryan will highlight things that you and your families can do to learn more about the wildlife in your town and to help make sure that these wonderful animals and plants will be around for many generations to come. He will also have some native turtles with him.
